History

Hawthorn Citizens Junior Football Club was born out of the Hawthorn Citizens Youth Club, which commenced in 1944. The club was affiliated with the Hawthorn District Junior Football League from 1992 to 1996. In 1996 the Yarra Junior Football League was formed and HCJFC joined that league in 1997.
