Age Group Registration Status:
Please contact our registrar for specific queries in relation to an age group.
New Registration system:
If you are new to the playHQ registration process please review this brief procedure.
To ensure you and your child’s previous registration history is imported from the previous registration system, please where possible use the same Email address, First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth and Gender used in previous years.
If this is not possible then please see the PlayHQ support page for further details about how to “claim” your profile.

Parent Volunteers:
If you wish to volunteer as a parent helper as a coach, team manager, committee member or in any other capacity, please also register yourself to help the club maintain a record of your participation and important details such as Working With Children Checks.
Minimum player age:
To register to play, players must be born between 1st January 2016 and 30 April 2017. See below for further details about age groups.
Clothing:
Please note clothing such as shorts, socks, hoodies, caps are available via our online shop, or directly from Dobsons Hawthorn, 667 Glenferrie Rd Hawthorn Ph: 9819 1122.
Note: female players only require brown shorts. White shorts are not required.
The club will continue to provide jumpers, which are distributed to players by team managers on “Jumper Presentation Day”, the club gathering/season kickoff event usually immediately prior to round 1.
Registration fees:
The YJFL (League) fee component for the season is $143 for ages 7-10 and $188 for ages 11 and older.
The club component for player registration fee is $152.
Total Fees (Ages 7-10 - $295) and (Ages 11 & older $340).

How old do I have to be to play in 2024? The following date ranges show the age group a player is eligible to play in based on their date of birth:
U8 – Born 01/01/2016 - 30/04/2017
U9 – Born 01/01/2015 - 31/12/2015
U10 – Born 01/01/2014 - 31/12/2014
U11 – Born 01/01/2013 - 31/12/2013
U12 – Born 01/01/2012 - 31/12/2012
U13 – Born 01/01/2011 - 31/12/2011
U14 – Born 01/01/2010 - 31/12/2010
U15 – Born 01/01/2009 - 31/12/2009
U16 – Born 01/01/2008 - 31/12/2008
U17/U18 - Born 01/01/2006 - 31/12/2007
